Evidence from Neolithic times shows that our ancient ancestors kept certain places sacred, investing them with a numinous quality. For centuries Christian and Buddhist monks have retreated to the quiet of the monastery gardens to seek inner peace and contemplate the miracles of nature.

To create your own spiritual garden, you need to start with a focal point. An altar or shrine can be that small hearth for the spirit, a place you can visit to reflect, say a prayer, or remember someone with love. Decorate it with plants or jars of cut flowers and hang an important image inside. We build our shrines with care and thought, using recycled materials, and hope they bring you joy and peace.
